Dinner Time

Aidan turns 19 weeks tomorrow, so we decided to take it up a notch.......rice cereal! He only gets a little bit during the last feeding of the day. Lets see how it went.

I thought Aidan needed a healthy appetite tonight so he got plenty of tummy time during the day.

This is the before shot, Aidan is clearly not interested in his upcoming meal. And can you blame him. Look at this stuff, if I were in jail, in North Korea, waiting to be executed, this is what I would expect.
Hold on now! It's not half bad.
More please. He ended up fussing every time we took the spoon out to get more.
Don't worry there will be a video of tonight in the next couple of days. Bon appetit!

It's Soccer Time

No new updates. Aidan is not sick...yet, Heather's better, and I'm still blowing my nose every 15 minutes. Other than that I feel fine, not sure what's going on. Dad?

In honor of the Euro 2008 semifinals I thought I would dedicate this post to soccer. It's never to early to get Aidan started.

How many times do I have to say it.....dynamic center midfielder.....
.......or if he's gonna make it in Europe he might have to be a goalie. He made the save despite being half asleep. That's rubish, he'll be the first American to make it big as a dynamic center midfielder. Hopefully he won't have to go far, maybe MLS will be up to par by then.
Supporting the local team, he's almost got the clap down.....DC United!
Good game, well played.
Time to hit the showers, or bath.

Not that anyone is counting, but Aidan turns 18 weeks old today. Heather and I would like to give Uncle Mark a huge thanks. He watched Aidan while we went to the Pearl Jam show on Sunday night. And yes, they are the BEST. BAND. EVER.

Aidan has now become a tummy sleeper. It's a little scary, but there's not much we can do. We've actually thought about pinning his sleep sack to the mattress but that doesn't seem right. This wouldn't be that big of an issue but, as already mentioned, he's "forgotten" how to roll back over.

I'm getting over a cold and apparently passed it on to Heather. We're still waiting to see if Aidan gets sick.

This is a new game called, put Aidan under a blanket and see if he likes it.
This is what was greeting us one morning. He wakes up and faces the door and waits for us to come in. There's no turning back once he sees you.
As our friend Annie said when she met Aidan, he really has this look on his face and it's not just the photos. Yep.
Ditto.

4 Months!

Aidan turns 4 months old today. Like last month, he got a trip to the doctors for his birthday and won some shots. Two in each fat, fleshy thigh. His height and weight are in the 90th percentile range. The nurse thought he was six months old. That's ok though because at one point in college I was mistaken for an offensive lineman.

The doctor also said we can start him on solid foods soon. Should be fun, messy, but fun.

This picture is from Father's Day. What do you know, Aidan looks surprised.
Our friends Geoff and Annie Suttle were in town. Aidan doesn't know how to shake hands so he puts fingers in his mouth. By the way, I'm not sure how we let Annie get out of here without a picture. Huge mistake.
Aidan's four month picture. The remote seems to be shrinking. Notice the band aids.
Tough call on who's cuter in this picture.
Not big on daddy kisses.

We haven't posted anything in a long time, but just like my parents, we're back. Not only does Aidan laugh now, he's able to roll over from back to front. Of course he's "forgotten" how to roll back to his back where he's able to sleep. And by "forgotten" I mean at 6 am he rolls over and lets us know he's awake.

He's 17 weeks tomorrow, and goes to the doctor on Wednesday for a check-up. And he gets shots.

We had a great first father's day yesterday, thanks to Heather. Those pictures will come later.

Most of these are from a recent trip to Tennessee.

Aidan and his cousin Andrew meet for the first time.

I thought this was a good picture of him sucking his thumb.
Aidan and his cousin Lily meeting. That thing he's sitting in is supposed to help him learn how to sit up. He has my posture.
That's a little better.

Aidan Laughs

Two videos in two days! We've made a quick trip to Tennessee and Heather's mom was able to get Aidan to laugh. Of course, his parents can't make him laugh but I'm not jealous or anything.

Video Update

The video is a little dark, but you get the idea. It's sort of a two for one video. For those of you clammering for a "gross" side of baby owning, there's a little bit of that at the end.
