Election Night

Since it's election night, I'll give you an update through bullet points.
*Aidan stands now without help. However, he still needs help getting up.
*He's eating puffs and Cheerios...finally. Sometimes, he can't find the item in his hands. It's hilarious.
*Aidan believes it's funny when he pulls Heather's hair.
*His flu shots are updated.
*Halloween was fun, pictures are coming.

It's been awhile since a big eyed Aidan picture.
Yep.
Thank goodness it's not Pepsi.
He climbed into this position, and is able to balance himself there for a long time.
This is taken from Heather's cell phone this morning at our voting station. I've stayed away from politics on this blog, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows where I stand. All I'm going to say is that I'm thrilled in the first year of my son's life I get to vote for the first African-American candidate for president of the United States. Hopefully, when Aidan has children this choice will no longer be something to.....blog about. I hope everyone voted. We should be thankful we get to.

Aidan's Close-Up

I'm still learning how to edit these videos, there's only a portion of the video that's entertaining. Over the next few days I should have some Halloween pictures up.

Random Photos

Aidan's sort of like a puppy now. He knows his name, he's cuddly, he slobbers and he follows you around the house. This is one of my new favorite things. For instance, if he's playing in the kitchen, we're able to get him to follow us out. Also, it makes me feel like a dad because I can tell him what to do and he does it! Just wait, I know.

Here's Aidan with his Great Grandmother.
Four generations of Waners, and only one sock.
This is last week when he was all bundled up.
8 month remote picture. To us, he looks like a little boy.
He's almost able to drink out of his sippy-cup without help. He bites it when he's not drinking, see, just like a puppy.

Back in Business

Instead of majoring in ancient history I should have learned how to fix cameras. We got a new camera.

As I said in my last post, Aidan has been a lot of fun lately. We took him down to the Mall this weekend and watched him try to eat grass. I'm a little behind in getting some photos up. There are a couple from Nanticoke I still want to post and yesterday Aidan turned 8 months old so we all know what that means, a remote picture is on the way.

This is the last photo taken with our old camera. He didn't find anything good in there.
He wasn't sure about being bundled up.
I know where Aidan gets his "tail" from.
We didn't quit make it to the Capitol.
If he ever becomes a politician he'll have the comb-over down.

Bummer

I broke our camera. It was in the line of duty, but I broke it. Right now we're trying to decide whether it's more cost effective to fix it or buy a new one. I broke the camera.

Ali was here over the weekend, and we had a bunch of fun. It's a good thing Ali took pictures with her camera because I broke ours.

Aidan's been great lately, just a lot of fun. One nice thing is, at least for Heather and I, he doesn't complain when he's hungry. He allows us to make his food without whimpering. I think he's learned he's gonna get fed.

For the time being I'll use photos from Gary when Aidan was visiting a few weeks ago, along with some more Naticoke pictures. It's clear he had a good time with Gary and Ann. These are all from Tennessee.

No, no you're supposed to stand with it.

There's a good smile.
He's got it now.
Nice smile and you can see two of his top teeth. Barely.

Aidan and His Puffs

Aidan got to try puffs for the first time on Wednesday. For those of you who don't know what puffs are, imagine Captain Crunch but for babies(in fact this is the only baby food I've tried and it's not bad). They desolve in the mouth. We like how Aidan is only able to use his pointer finger and thumb.

He couldn't get it in his mouth by himself. The result once we put one in there for him is disappointing. Is he the first baby ever not to like puffs on his first try?

Nanticoke

About doing more posts in October.....not so good with that so far. My apologies.

A couple updates, Gary and Ann took Aidan for a weekend, and it was fantastic. Heather and I saw two movies, went out to dinner 3 nights.....and we missed Aidan. When we were leaving Aidan, Heather said how much she was going to miss him. Ann replied now she knows how she felt every time Heather would go somewhere. I had never thought of leaving Aidan from my parents perspective, and it's very true. From here on out, this is what it's going to be like....someone should have warned me.

Over this past weekend we went up to Nanticoke, PA to visit Aidan's Great Grandmother, and my parents met us in DC for the trip up. For those of you who watch The Office, Nanticoke is close to Scranton.
Aidan got a new toy.

For all the money we've spent on toys, blowing in a straw is what entertains Aidan at restaurants.
I thought this was a great picture. There's more to come.....
