We haven't posted anything in a long time, but just like my parents, we're back. Not only does Aidan laugh now, he's able to roll over from back to front. Of course he's "forgotten" how to roll back to his back where he's able to sleep. And by "forgotten" I mean at 6 am he rolls over and lets us know he's awake.

He's 17 weeks tomorrow, and goes to the doctor on Wednesday for a check-up. And he gets shots.

We had a great first father's day yesterday, thanks to Heather. Those pictures will come later.

Most of these are from a recent trip to Tennessee.

Aidan and his cousin Andrew meet for the first time.

I thought this was a good picture of him sucking his thumb.
Aidan and his cousin Lily meeting. That thing he's sitting in is supposed to help him learn how to sit up. He has my posture.
That's a little better.

Aidan Laughs

Two videos in two days! We've made a quick trip to Tennessee and Heather's mom was able to get Aidan to laugh. Of course, his parents can't make him laugh but I'm not jealous or anything.

Video Update

The video is a little dark, but you get the idea. It's sort of a two for one video. For those of you clammering for a "gross" side of baby owning, there's a little bit of that at the end.

15 Weeks

Aidan is 15weeks old today. They keep flying by. He's reached a couple of baby milestones, he found his feet, although no pictures yet. Actually, he likes to grab them when his diaper is being changed so I'm not sure you'll see a lot of pictures. The other milestone is he started to laugh. Of course he hasn't done it for me, and he only did it the other day when he visited Heather at work and was trying to impress her secretaries. Hmph.

I'm not sure how Aidan got in there, but I can guarantee that's not how he gets his bath.
Picasso had his "phases," Aidan is clearly in his big eyed surprise phase.
Doesn't he look grown up here?
When I'm bored I like to rub Aidan's head and see how frizzy I can get his hair. It helps if I have a balloon.
Goodness.

Not much new to write about. We've decided Aidan's a bad napper, he'll get one good nap a day and the others are so so.

These pictures are all pretty similar, but they capture Aidan's surprise look very well.

We hope everyone had a nice, long weekend. The three of us did. We got to go to a BBQ, missed out on one, and had one of our own.
Heather and I have decided the first thing we don't want Aidan to do....grow teeth. His gummy smile is the best, I'll try for a picture. Currently, he's putting everything in his mouth. Instead of sucking on it, he gums it, he'll run your finger along his gums. It's cute.
This was the beginning of a BBQ.
This was the end.
We have a new "backyard." Meaning a new fence, some nice landscaping courtesy of Grannie and some patio furniture. We've been back there as much as possible until the weather gets unbearable. You can see the new fence, a couple of the chairs, and a bad tan line.
My parents leave for Turkey tomorrow! We wish them a good trip and as the Turks say, "Okuz altinda buzagi aranmaz."

Video Update

This is Aidan trying to roll over.

Success! In the history of Aidan this is actually the third time he's done it, he completed two successful roles yesterday-both witnessed by Heather.
