We're Back and 11 Weeks

First, I apologize for how long it's been since I last posted. Ali yelled at me, ok it wasn't at me and she probably didn't yell, but the point was made. She's one of the nicest people I know so it must be bad.

The trip to Tennessee was fantastic, and Gary and Ann were nice enough to watch Aidan for a few days. On Sunday we got a call from Ann and I have the feeling she missed Aidan more than Heather and me, who can blame her.

Aidan turned 11 weeks old today. We're attempting to get his last feeding a little earlier in the evening. So far so good.

Forgive me if I get a little personal with this next paragraph. On Sunday I walked in on Heather and she was a little upset. She was putting away, for good, some of Aidan's "baby clothes." These were the clothes that didn't fit him anymore, which is unbelievable. I started watching and began feeling the same way. By no means is he big, but he's not a newborn anymore and frankly it's a little sad. Of course, we don't get a chance to realize this when we're in the dirty diapers, feedings, late nights, fun walks, new smiles and bath time. For me, and I'm not sure where Heather stands, but it was a moment(maybe the first) that I felt like a "true parent." I was happy and sad, excited about Aidan's future and a little tentative. I realized that he would never know how much I love him until he has children, and then I wanted to call my parents.

Ok, sorry about that, but we sure did miss the little guy while he was with Gary and Ann...another new experience. Let's get on with the pictures and please check back frequently. We have a lot of pictures to go over.

P.S. This is the first of many installments involving the trip. Stay tuned more more cousins and Aunties!

Heather and Aidan in his first McDonald's. Don't make it a habit.

Aidan chilling going South on 81.
Gary and Ann enjoying Aidan and vice versa.
Aidan meeting his cousin Jack for the first time!
Too cute!
