This is just the cutest! Does Aidan look like a Smurf? We just need a dark blue shirt.
Aidan's first bath. He didn't like it.
That's better.
Uncle Mark being very comfortable with Aidan. Watch out ladies.
I think he just had gas.Heather, Aidan and I are alone now. The Thackers left on Sunday, and they were a HUGE help. We have until Friday when my parents arive. Speaking of my parents. Let's get to the poll. Hopefully this will do two things 1)help my parents decide on Grandparent names 2) see how many people look at this blog, and create some feedback. That's three things, but whatever.
Currently, my parents have yet to decide what they want Aidan to call them. Mark and I called their parents Grandmother or Grandfather. Is that to formal for Joe and Elizabeth? But, I also say "Aunt" instead of "Ant."
Here are some choices and feel free to post your own ideas.
For Mom:
Grandmother
Mimi
Grandma
For Dad:
Grandfather
Papa
Grandpa
We need more options.

Ya know...I always thought of Joe's grandpa name as "Joe-bo." And if I were Aidan, I'd call Elizabeth "Mrs. Waner." Just kidding. She's TOTALLY a Mimi. And Joe is TOTALL "Joe-bo"...
Obviously the late nights and making loud music have affected Andrew.
What's wrong with Grandfather? Maybe Aidan and I can work out something together in the future.
My office says "Gran" is hip these days. I also sort of like "Ebby" for EBW. And if "grandmother" proves too difficult, maybe we could go with "councilwoman".
And for dad I like Poppa or Grandpa.
I'm not sure "Joe-bo" can be topped in orginality. Well done.
I would vote for big poppa and gran, as JoePa is already trademarked, and LizPa would probably give Aidan a speech impedement.
What about Meemaw and Paw Paw? Too Oklahoma?
Dear Cousins Andrew, Lily and Jack,
What do you call Gary and Ann? Is this as hard as all these grown-ups are making it? I just need a couple of words....
Love,
Cousin Aidan
Aidan is going to be a prophet. Pictures don't lie.
Love,
Joe/Dad
Dear Cousin Aidan,
Since they have to be named before you're even going to be old enough to talk, we think the grandparents should get to chose their own names. Afterall, they're the ones who are stuck with them forever! :) That being said...we like Mimi and Papa - a nice complement to Nana and Poppy (aka Ann and Gary). Good luck!
Love,
Cousins Drew and Jack
Dear Aidan,
I can't really talk yet, but for now I call my grandparents "bububububu". They all seem to love it...of course, I also call everyone and everything that because it is my only word so far. I'm sure I will come up with something more original in the near future. Good luck, kid...give me a call if you need more advice.
your big cousin,
Lily
PS - Their real names are Nana & Poppy and Granna & Grampa
